King City United Stewardship

“Let us offer ourselves and our gifts to God.” Both offerings are important. We may share a special talent to enhance worship . . . help in the kitchen . . . teach a Sunday School class . . . or contribute money.

Our church invites us to give of our material wealth to the Church’s work. The world we live in is one of relative material affluence. Enough is never enough. How do we reconcile that against giving of our wealth to our Church? Giving to our Church is not simply the act of giving; it is offering ourselves to God’s work. Our gifts may be symbols of our daily labour and our weekday life brought to the altar on Sunday, but they are also symbols of ourselves, which we offer to God, trusting that God will use us to serve and fulfill His purposes.

Our Church Board and our Trustees are the stewards of our church — managing both its properties and finances. They involve the whole church in the responsibility of supporting in significant ways the church and its mission – primarily through developing an annual budget and requesting our regular offerings.
